Microsoft has developed a new platform that allows advertisers to add colourful, two-dimensional barcodes to anything from marketing materials to computer games, and which directs consumers to specific Web sites when scanned using a mobile phone. The colorful 2D Microsoft Tags (in geometric or dotted design formats) transform offline marketing media – print advertising, billboards, packaging and merchandising in stores or on LCD displays, for example – into live links for accessing information and entertainment online.
Towards Belfast - michael.tyson.id.au

Having woken up and gone through our morning routine, security intact and all belongings accounted for (it was our first wildcamp, so we were admittedly a little nervous), it was time to start the journey towards Belfast, for an art therapy short course Katherine had booked months in advance, when all this seemed a lifetime away. Our first stop was Wexford, all business: Stock up on supplies, fill our water tank (hooray, showers!), find the quayside free wifi I’d seen mentioned, settle on a mobile Internet carrier and hopefully buy a SIM card and unlock the USB modem dongle thing so we could use it.

Jim Atwood made a WordPress blog and used a mobile plugin. That’s impressive, but not unique. After all, I do that here on mobiEnthusiast.mobi every day. The unique part is that Jim is an American living in Japan. As a mobile internet junkie, I want to learn all I can about what makes mobile tick in a country that is mostly mobile-only – especially since I don’t understand the language. According to Jim, it is common in Japan to make two completely separate versions of a website.

Link to French language review in DegroupNews My comments on this mobile Internet device after reading the review This device, provided by SFR for their “triple-play” (Box SFR, NeufBox) subscribers in France, is primarily a mobile Internet device. Primarily it is the “Webby” terminal marketed under SFR’s banner. But it isn’t the typical mobile Internet device that is in the typical handheld form. Instead, it is designed as a tabletop “mini terminal” for use in the kitchen, bedroom or home office.

by Ronald Smithson Not one can over-emphasize the importance of internet technology in todays complex and modern world. Majority of people of any age, interest or preference; stay connected to the internet almost twenty-four hours a day. In fact, most people check their emails first the moment they wake up before going about preparing for the day. For this reason alone, a lot more internet service providers are thinking of ways to better serve their clients.
Arrival in Ireland - michael.tyson.id.au

We turned up nice and early for the ferry from Pembroke to Rosslare in the Republic of Ireland’s South East, and sat in Nettle while I did some last-minute caravan park/wild camp/mobile Internet research from my painstakingly slow iPhone. Time came, and we were herded by friendly and jocular Welshmen onto the ferry, a big ol’ cruse-liner-esque thing: Nice and easy to get Nettle on and off, thankfully.

The hype has been on for years and although the frustrations of continued dropped cell calls  haunts us all, the future has arrived in full swing….pardon the pun!!! I thought this article between “Mad Money Cramer” and MLB is a fantastic illustration of a dream unfolding before everyone’s eyes. This month has been a time to reflect upon the historic moment 40 years ago of man’s first walk on the moon.  I am sure just about everyone can remember where they were when the first televised pictures captivated the world.

The Samsung Mondi mobile internet tablet that I’ve spent the last week obsessing over finally arrived today and was given no time to settle in before being put into my light tent for a lengthy photo shoot. I have a lot to say about the device (particularly in response to some of the early opinions/reviews), as well as a round of size comparison shots to share, but I’ll save that for another time and take you through the unboxing first….

Are you planning to go to jersey to spend your holidays. I presume either you are new in England or old enough to waste your time and money-when nothing else to do in life. I was very excited to see this island, i thought it would be as amazing as Isle of wight. But it happened to be a hell or not that exciting. Condor Ferries Jerky cart or a tractor without shock absorber. I was again excited when I saw it first time. Things were allrt untill it started runnying over the sea water.

Review: Sony Ericsson C903 - newtechnologydirectory.com

Sony Ericsson may have whetted appetites for truly top-end cameraphone quality with its recently announced 12.1-megapixel Satio, but the mobile maker has also been taking care of business in its mid-range portfolio, with the Sony Ericsson C903 its latest 5-megapixel Cyber-shot sharp-shooter. Taking up position below the 8-megapixel C905 but above the C902 in the photo-centric Cyber-shot line-up, the Sony Ericsson C903 is a tidily turned out sliderphone.

Interesting article on the future of app stores and browsers, and the opinion of Google regarding this matter: App stores do not represent the future of the mobile industry according to Google’s vice president of engineering Vic Gundotra, who maintains consumers will instead turn to web browsers to fill their information and entertainment needs. Speaking Thursday at the Mobilebeat conference in San Francisco, Gundotra said no one, including Google, is rich enough to support all of the myriad mobile platforms in existence, a circumstance that mandates a shift in thinking away from the fragmented app store model.

For the avoidance of doubt and given I’ve been going off-on-one about SpinVox for the past few days, I’d like to point a few things out: 1) I was a delighted beneficiary of a SpinVox courtesy account. I *think* I used to pay for it but I’m not entirely sure what happened, when. Other than I stopped being billed. Then when I signed up with Vodafone, James Whatley — transferred the account. I say ‘was’ – I switched it off last week. 2) I know James Whatley, the SpinVox Social Media chap reasonably well.

Mysterious clamshell smartphone HTC Leo is again in rumors. According to new data, this device besides beeing a mobile phone in fact it is a MID (Mobile Internet Device), rather than smartphones. In this regard, he sees no substitute for HTC Universal (as previously), a model HTC Athena, invoked in time of great interest, but which looked more concept than a mass product. On all these grounds HTC Leo is very much like the model Thoth, which was first seen in January in HTC’s roadmap of 2009.

Are you getting irritated by constant error messages in your computer? If your answer is yes then you should remove the problem from its root at the very beginning. Aiming to be a central source of music as well as a social network for sharing playlists and portal offering music news, gossip, exclusive content and competitions, the service is targeting the 16-24 age group.
